Traveling from USA to Tuscany, Italy:
A Guide for Our Esteemed Guests
Embark on a journey from the sunny shores of Florida (or other American city) to the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany, Italy. Here are some recommendations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience:
Flights: Direct flights from Florida to Italy are rare. Typically, you'll fly from major airports like Miami (MIA) or Ft Lauderdale (FLL) with at least one stopover in cities such as New York, or London before reaching Italy. Florence (FLR) is the closest major airport to Tuscany, but options to Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP) or Pisa (PSA) could offer more flexibility, or better pricing. It also depends on whether you will be enjoying a vacation prior to, or after our Wedding Weekend. For the closest and most convenient airport for the Wedding Weekend, we recommend flying directly into Florence. Remember to book early for the best rates.
* When booking the flight, we HIGHLY recommend arriving to Italy 36-48 hours prior to the scheduled weekend events. That way you can be well rested and enjoy yourself throughout your time here.
Recommended websites to purchase flight tickets:
Hopper (set a "watch flight" notification for reduced price flights)
Travel Documents (Passport): Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days for tourism purposes. For further details click here.

To RENEW your passport, click HERE.
** Attention: If you have a passport that expires in 2025, you may need to renew it. The law is that it must not be expiring within 6 months after your return flight.
Mandatory VISA to travel to Italy:
The EU expects to launch the ETIAS system in 2025 and travelers who wish to visit Italy as of this year must get an ETIAS authorization.
To travel to Italy with the ETIAS visa waiver, visitors must meet the ETIAS Italy requirements and have the following:
1. A passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from Italy
2. A debit or credit card
3. A valid email address
Travel to Italy with the ETIAS visa waiver will not change significantly. All travelers must do is complete their ETIAS application prior to their trip. To complete ETIAS, the applicant will need to provide their personal details, passport information, and travel plans as well as answer security questions.
Transportation in Italy: Upon arrival, consider Uber or Public Transportation to explore Tuscany's rolling hills and historic towns at your leisure. Trains and buses are also viable options for traveling within the region, offering both efficiency and the chance to soak in the scenic beauty.

In case of an emergency, for immediate medical attention, or to call an ambulance dial 112 from any telephone in Italy.
